We’re hiring for a Welder Fabricator to join a creative manufacturing team based in Ashton-under-Lyne.

Working with high-quality materials and projects, this role offers an exciting opportunity for a skilled fabricator to contribute to a variety of innovative and bespoke builds.

What will you be doing as a Welder Fabricator?

  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and material/cutting lists
  • Assembling and fabricating parts to precise specifications
  • Using MIG & TIG welding techniques to weld various materials, including mild steel and alloys (1.5mm – 3mm)
  • Operating a variety of fabrication machinery and tools to ensure accurate and efficient fabrication
  • Assisting with the fitting and finishing of bespoke assemblies

What do you need?

  • Experience in both MIG & TIG welding
  • Experience in assembling and fabricating parts to precise specifications
  • Familiar with operating lathes
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Apprenticeship or a recognised engineering qualification (desirable)

  • Ensuring a high standard of cosmetic finish in all welding work
  • Assisting in other areas of production when required
  • Adhering to Health & Safety regulations and maintaining a professional approach

What do you need?

  • Time-served experience in fabrication and welding
  • NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds certifications
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Pipe welding experience (advantageous)
  • A flexible approach to work and willingness to work overtime when needed

Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for MIG Welders to join our clients team based at their site in Sandbach!

Our client is a large fabrication company that prides itself in being able to offer stable, long-term employment in the area. Having been successful year upon year they are now looking to expanding their Welding team.

This role is being offered on a permanent basis, therefore meaning, you’ll be employed directly by the client.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be part of our clients Welding team responsible for welding steel frames, structures, and sheet metal fabrications.

Hours:

Rotating: Monday to Friday shift pattern of 6 am to 2 pm week one and 2 pm to 10 pm week two with each Friday being half a day.

Overtime is always on offer, paid at an enhanced rate.

Pay:

Up to £46,300.80 per year, depending on skills/experience.

+ £1000 singing on Bonus.

+ 10% bonus on top of hours where more than 48 hours have been completed in a week.

WEEKLY PAY – PAID EVERY FRIDAY.

Skills/Experience required:

The ideal candidate will be someone with at least 2 years welding/fabrication experience.

Job Description

We’re hiring for a Welder Fabricator to join an established metal restoration and conservation company based in Stockport. Their customers include heritage trusts, public bodies and local authorities and they also provide bespoke installations for listed buildings, churches and public spaces throughout the UK.

As part of a supportive and hands-on management team, you’ll manage all aspects of contract work assigned to you regarding metalwork restoration and will be responsible for delivering projects to specification, budget and programme.

  • Assisting with overall material and stock check required to complete projects
