We are seeking an experienced and committed Youth Minister to lead, teach, and inspire the next generation of young believers.

Role Overview
As a Youth Minister, you will play a vital role in nurturing the spiritual growth of young people within our church and community. This role requires a person who can combine a strong pastoral calling with dynamic leadership and teaching skills to engage and empower youth in their faith journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and teach youth Bible studies, worship sessions, and faith-building classes.
  • Develop and implement engaging programs and activities tailored to the spiritual and social needs of young people.
  • Provide spiritual guidance, mentoring, and counseling to youth members.
  • Plan and oversee events such as youth retreats, conferences, and mission trips.
  • Collaborate with other church leaders to integrate youth ministry into the broader vision of the church.
  • Foster strong relationships with parents and guardians to support the spiritual development of young people.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies and maintain a safe environment for all youth activities.
  • Actively contribute to the church’s worship and teaching programs.

Essential Requirements

  • A committed Christian with a demonstrable personal faith and lifestyle aligned with the teachings of the Bible.
  • Recognized theological qualification or equivalent ministerial training.
  • Fluency in Yoruba language, both written and spoken, to effectively minister to Yoruba-speaking members of the community.
  • At least [2 years] of experience in youth ministry or a related pastoral role.
  • Strong understanding of biblical principles and the ability to teach and apply them effectively.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and engage young people.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends, as required by the ministry’s schedule.
  • Eligibility to meet the requirements for a Tier 2 Minister of Religion visa, including the ability to provide proof of active engagement in ministerial duties and leadership within a faith-based organization.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working in a multicultural and diverse church setting.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding procedures and pastoral care practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £18,000.00-£18,500.00 per year
