Health Care Assistant
Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while working collaboratively with other staff members. A valid driving licence is desirable for this position.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences.
- Follow care plans meticulously to ensure each resident receives personalised care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document any changes in residents’ conditions or behaviours accurately in care records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to provide comprehensive care.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in IT and care practices as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being able to work independently when necessary.
- A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting residents if required.
- A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need.
- Familiarity with basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes is beneficial.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £12.00-£12.50 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 36 per week
