Receptionist/Administrator – Langham Manor
Job Description
ABOUT US:
Langham Manor Care Home is looking to recruit an Admin Reception on a permanent basis with contracts for 40 hours.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To welcome all residents/ visitors to the home in a pleasant manner. Ensuring the visitors book is completed, and the appropriate person is notified of their arrival.
- Ensure that the reception area has a welcoming and positive first impression.
- To answer the phone promptly and deal with any enquires in a polite, helpful and positive manner.
- Build relationships with relatives, residents, professional service providers and other visitors. Comfort relatives at times of distress ensuring privacy and empathy.
- To ensure all correspondence received is date stamped and receives prompt attention.
- To ensure that the Home’s filing system is maintained accurately and promptly.

- To undertake sales ledger responsibilities which include:
- The provision of accurate financial information to Head Office in order to raise invoices/credits in a timely and accurate manner.
- To submit all new Private Resident contracts to the Billing Team in a timely manner. To liaise with Social Services / PCT / and other funders to ensure that the correct funding is in place
- To order uniforms and badges where requires.
ABOUT YOU:
- You will have experience of administration within a care home setting caring for older people or the care sector.
- You will have a kind and caring approach with a passion for delivering the highest possible standard of service, care and support for the residents.
- You will have excellent communication skills and have a desire to work in a participatory manner with residents, relatives and colleagues to enable residents to achieve desired outcomes and goals.
- You will have the ability to work positively as a member of the staff team and the flexibility to work alone when required.
- You will have excellent numeracy skills and computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
- You will have the right to work within the UK.
