Job Description
Children’s Senior Support Worker required for a Fabulous 3x bedded EBD home in Chorley with a possibility to earn up to £35,490!
The company already has 2 successfully running homes and is now in the process to build the staff team for the 3rd home.
The children’s home has two young boys aged 15. One of the young people is on 1:1 staffing ratio and is in full time education and the other boy is a new referral who is on a 2:1 staffing ratio.

The Children’s Senior Support Worker role is perfect for someone who is looking to make a real & meaningful difference in the lives of children & young people who have experienced trauma and abuse.
In return for your hard work and dedication, you will receive:
✅ Excellent rates of pay – £35,490 (£15 per hour + £60 per sleep in)
✅ Average of 2 sleep per week & 37.5 hours per week contract
✅ 2 days on 4 days off shift pattern with shifts starting at 10am ( 10 shifts per month)
✅ Strong manager in place
✅ Development plan to Deputy Manager level
✅ Senior’s will be put the Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification
✅ Health Cash Plan
As a Children’s Senior Support Worker you will be responsible for:
⚡ Leading shifts and supervising a team of support workers, mentoring, and ensuring they are working effectively with the young people
⚡ Supporting young people within their own home environment, ensuring that they feel safe and cared for, helping with tasks and teaching life skills
⚡ Organising and accompanying the young people on social activities, to school and to appointments
⚡ Building relationships and trust with young people
⚡ Recording the young person’s activity & reporting key aspects of their care to ensure the highest standard is always achieved
⚡ Promoting the young person’s independence and growth, developing their life skills and opportunities
⚡ A passion for working with young people and the ability to complete necessary OFSTED related paperwork
The ideal Children’s Senior Support Worker will have:
- Experience of working with vulnerable children and young people
- QCF level 3/4 in Residential Childcare
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to build strong and trusting relationships with young people
- The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Resilience and a positive outlook
- A good level of IT literacy
