Job Title: HGV Mechanic

Location: Biddings Lane, Coseley, Wolverhampton, WV14 9NN

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Job Type: Full Time

About Us:
Dewsbury & Proud Ltd is a leading provider of transport and crane lifting solutions, committed to delivering top-quality service and maintaining a fleet of well-maintained HGVs. We are currently looking for an experienced HGV Mechanic to join our team and ensure our vehicles remain in peak and compliant condition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a variety of HGVs.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Perform inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT tests.
• Ensure all work is carried out to DVSA standards and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
• Work collaboratively with the workshop team to meet deadlines.
• Provide breakdown support onsite as required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or similar role.
• Relevant qualifications in vehicle mechanics
• Strong knowledge of HGV mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if required.
